East Coast Credit Union supports Cape Breton University fundraising campaign

Cape Breton, NS – Responding to Cape Breton University’s “Future First Campaign”, East Coast Credit Union has committed a donation of $50,000. Monies raised are used to support students through the creation of scholarships and bursaries.

Doug Hastings, East Coast Credit Union President & CEO stated, “East Coast Credit Union’s Board of Directors understands and appreciates the importance of Cape Breton University to the entire Island and as such is very pleased to support this wonderful cause.”

Joe Shannon, Campaign Chair for Cape Breton University, is pictured above accepting the donation from representatives of East Coast Credit Union. “I believe in our young people and feel that as citizens of the Island we have a corporate responsibility to assist our future generations,” commented Mr. Shannon. “Contributions such as that made by East Coast Credit Union exemplify this commitment to community.”
